Repair of an iPhone 6 Plus with no power
While inspecting the device we can easily notice that someone has already unsuccessfully attempted a repair.
The condenser C2301 and its left track below are missing, so we proceed by heating up the right side of the same component taken from another logic board, and by creating a bridge on the left side with the component U2301.
First try: Nothing happens…
So we inspect the components again and notice that the condenser C2020 seems welded only on the left side because its right side is lacking the track. We then proceed with a further jumper between the right side of the capacitor and the pin of the display connector J2019-4.
Second try: this time it switches on, but only with half screen working.
Finally, with a further inspection we notice that the filter FL2024 is completely desoldered, so we heat again the right side and create a bridge between the left side and the line that we scraped on the logic board.
Third try: Device fully recovered with no data loss!
A special thanks goes to Phoneparts who gave us a kit of tweezers with really special tips that helped us a lot in solving this problem!
